Hello!

In the photo, which is the background of this page, is one of my favourite streets, which I used to walk to the university for many years to teach Ukrainian language and Ukrainian studies to foreign students.

I currently live in Wales and my two sons are at the front. I want to continue teaching the Ukrainian language... I fundamentally do not want to change my profession.

If you are reading this and you have a desire to learn the Ukrainian language with an experienced teacher - write to me. You will not only learn the Ukrainian language, but also discover my beautiful Ukraine!

I named my blog the same way I once named a guide to Ukrainian studies, which I co-authored. In general, I am a co-author of a textbook and three educational and methodological guides on the Ukrainian language for foreigners and many educational and methodological guides.

Regarding teaching methods.

I use a non-intermediate language learning technique using visualisation developed with the help of IT. Each of my lessons has a clear structure depending on the topic and purpose. Students perform exercises to develop correct pronunciation, reading, listening and speaking skills. In my opinion, memorising speech patterns is very important. That is, after memorising one sentence pattern, students can create hundreds of other sentences simply by substituting other words. Although I do not use the medium language in my lessons, I always prepare reference material for each lesson in my students' native language.

I taught Ukrainian and Russian to foreign students, and they reached the level from 0 to B1 in 8 months. So! I also taught Russian! I don't want to do it now, but I am ready to help in learning Russian (up to C2 level). I am ready to teach the Russian language only to those who really need it for their professional activities. I will teach without instilling love and sentiments for the Russian language and culture.
Although I am a master of Russian philology and a native speaker, I am not a propagandist of the Russian language and culture. Because, as someone whose name I don't want to say said: "Russia ends where the Russian language ends." So... If you plan to become a scout - I will gladly help you! You will be able to speak with a Moscow accent! 😀

Regarding the contingent of my future students.

I'm used to teaching university students, but I have many years of experience teaching at a school. I would really like to teach older people, for example, 60+.

Format of classes: online or face to face in small groups or individually.

The duration of the lesson is 2 hours.
Price - depending on the format (from 10 to 30 pounds).
